02/04/2021 - Re-opening
Unfortunately we are still unable to re-open the dojo and are therefore not taking on any new members.
The 17th of May is the provisional date that the Scottish Government is hoping to allow indoor group exercise to re-start. However our Dojo is an Aberdeen City Council run hall and therefore we are not in full control of when this will re-open. We hope it will be as close to this date as possible so we can start to train properly (even though sparring will not be allowed just yet).
In the meantime we plan to start offering outdoor group training from around the start of May 2021 for existing members (and possibly some new ones too!) We will provide an update nearer the time on this.
As has been the case throughout the pandemic JKS Scotland continue to provide centralised online classes and free seminars for members to attend so please keep using these to get your karate fix.

18/11/2021 - Re-opening @ Inchgarth Community Centre
Finally we have re-opened our for students to train indoors. We have had to change venue and are now training out of the Inchgarth Community Centre in Garthdee. It fees good to get the Gi back on!
The space we have is quite small and as such we are currently only allowing existing members to train while we see how our numbers are. Once we have a grasp of this we will open up to new members if space will allow. We will endeavour to reply back to all the people who have contacted us to enquire about new member training.
The Inchgarth Community Centre is a great place with on site cafe and friendly staff so members, feel free to arrive early or stay late after training to enjoy the facilities it has to offer. We will put some pictures up in due course.
